Jeffrey Riopelle's Background

Dr. Riopelle was born in San Francisco, California. He was raised in Menlo Park and Lafayette, California, where he attended Acalanes High School. He played basketball in high school and enjoyed numerous other outdoor sports activities.

He attended University of California, Davis for his undergraduate work, graduating with highest honors in biochemistry. He received the Henry A. Castro Award for Academic Achievement and Promise. He juggles many activities including Resident Advisor, Health Sciences Association School President, Martinez Medical Association President, dance teacher's assistant and numerous intramural sports activities. He received a letter of recommendation from the chancellor of the university.

Dr. Riopelle completed his medical school training at the prestigious University of California, Irvine, graduating in the top 15% of his class. He was first year co-president and served on several medical school committees.

Dr.Riopelle completed a three-year residency in family and preventative medicine at Ventura County Medical Center (a UCLA affiliate residency). He is board certified. He also has received training through the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery, the International Society of Laser Surgery and the American College of Phlebology (veins) and Allergan (Botox). He has obtained advanced training by Luminas in use of Intense Pulsed Light and Photodynamic therapy and advanced training by Altus in laser hair removal, Laser genesis, scar treatment and laser vein treatment. Dr. Riopelle also attends the annual meeting of the American Society of Dermatology. He is a member in good standing of the International Society of Dermatology, the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Inc, the International Society of Laser Surgery, the American College of Plebology, the California Medical Association, the Botox Physicians Network Association and the Alameda/Contra Costa County Medical Association.

Dr. Riopelle has co-authored a published book on fitness and health and is currently working on a book about optimizing skin health through proper nutrition, exercise, skin care regimens and modern technologic advances. He has been quoted in local newspapers, has appeared on the television program "Ask the Doctor" and has given numerous lectures to both the public and to physicians.

Dr. Riopelle has practiced in the East Bay since 1988 and is on staff at San Ramon Regional Medical Center, John Muir Hospital and ValleyCare Medical Center.

Together with his wife, Donna Riopelle, he founded and owns the medi-spa type practice Laser Advantage of San Ramon Medical Group on campus at San Ramon Regional Medical Center.

Donna Riopelle's Background

Donna Riopelle was born in Southern California near Los Angeles and grew up in Huntington Beach. She attended Mater Dei High School where she was Valedictorian of her class. Donna attended college at Cal State University, Long Beach where she graduated in 1984 with her Bachelor's in Nursing and was among the top 5% in her class. She became a member of the esteemed Sigma Theta Tan Honor Nursing Society. She then went onto UCLA to obtain her Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner graduating in 1987. Donna Riopelle is Board Certified by the American Association Nursing Certification Examiners. She has worked with multiple physicians and has over twenty years experience.

Donna Riopelle, APRN-C, NP, has studied extensively in cosmetic dermatology, nutrition, and anti-aging. She has received training through the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery, the International Society of Laser Surgery, the American College of Phiebology (veins), the American Academy of Dermatology, the Dermatology Nurse's Association, and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. She has also received advanced training from Dr. Bitter, Jr. and Dr. Mark Nestor for procedures such as FotoFacial (Intense Pulse light Therapy), and Photodynamic Therapy using Levulan with the IPL or with the Blu-U Light, from Cutera/Altus Medical and Dr. Bruce Russell in Laser Genesis, Laser Vein Removal, Laser Hair Removal and Scar Treatments. Donna Riopelle, APRN-C, NP is a member in good standing of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery, the American Academy of Phlebology, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, the California Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, and the American College of Nurse Practitoner's. She has lectured both to the public and other medical providers about health topics in her career. She actively supports community programs and volunteers in organizations and at church. For leisure time, she loves the outdoors, jogging and playing sports with her husband and four children.

Together with her husband, she founded and owns Laser Advantage MediSpa Of San Ramon on campus at San Ramon Regional Medical Center.
